Join us for Céilí Mór Kentucky July 21-22 in Lexington

The Bluegrass Ceili Academy, in partnership with the Bluegrass Irish Society, Lexington Parks and Recreation, the Kentucky Irish Music Academy and Kentucky McTeggart Irish Dancers presents Céilí Mór Kentucky 2023, a celebration of Irish dance, music and language. This event is made possible in part by a dance development grant from An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha. Join us in Lexington July 21-22 at Artworks at Tates Creek for workshops in Irish dance, music and language. Learn from professional musicians and dancers and participate in two community ceilis Friday and Saturday evenings Admission is $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday (unlimited classes + ceili) or $5 for just the evening ceili. “Do what makes your heart sing.” At Bluegrass Ceili Academy, Irish dancing does just that – makes our hearts sing and our spirits soar. In honor of a community leader, it’s now our motto. Alltech’s Dr. Pearse Lyons was an inspiration and a friend to so many in our community. I was fortunate to know him and spend time with him and his wife Deirdre at a number of events over the past decade. While he left this world on March 8, his immense influence carries on. We're so excited to join with the 2017 Kentucky Rose of Tralee to raise scholarships for cultural arts classes in Lexington, and we're hoping you'll join us this Saturday, July 22 for our event. Our Lexington Irish dance school gives back to the community

Perspective. Experience. Community. Mission. Not only is that what matters, but it's why our Lexington Irish dance school is stepping up to support cultural arts scholarships for students in Central Kentucky. On Saturday, July 22, we're partnering with the 2017 Kentucky Rose of Tralee, Martha Mortell, to host a fundraiser for Artworks at the Carver School. All funds raised will be used to provide need- and merit-based scholarships for children and adults who take cultural arts classes through Lexington Parks and Recreation's programs at Artworks. Why are we doing this? Because, for us, it's about community. Our Lexington Irish dance school was welcomed into the Artworks program last year, along with other cultural arts classes such as karate instruction with Bushin Kan Dojo of Lexington, Kentucky. Movies & music night: Bluegrass Ceili Academy celebrates Project Children

Bluegrass Ceili Academy is proud to be a local sponsor of the Kentucky premiere of an award-winning documentary. We're proud to join Failte Irish Shop, the Bluegrass Irish Society and the local event coordinators in bringing to you an evening of exceptional Irish entertainment at the Farish Theater in the downtown Library on Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11. Join us for a screening of "How to Defuse a Bomb: The Project Children Story” and a performance by Gypsy's Wish with Irish folk musicians Declán Mac Giolla Cheara and Andrew John Toman.
