You've always wanted to try something new, right? Now is the time to try our Lexington Irish dance classes where you'll find fun, affordable instruction with a certified teacher for both children and adults. Classes are offered in partnership with Artworks at the Carver School, a community cultural arts program in downtown Lexington. What are our Lexington Irish dance classes like? We focus these dance classes on group choreography — known as ceili dancing — for fun, for performance and for competition. Our Lexington Irish dance school gives back to the community

Not only is that what matters, but it's why our Lexington Irish dance school is stepping up to support cultural arts scholarships for students in Central Kentucky. On Saturday, July 22, we're partnering with the 2017 Kentucky Rose of Tralee, Martha Mortell, to host a fundraiser for Artworks at the Carver School. All funds raised will be used to provide need- and merit-based scholarships for children and adults who take cultural arts classes through Lexington Parks and Recreation's programs at Artworks. Why are we doing this? Because, for us, it's about community. Learn something new this summer! Here's your chance to learn Irish dance in Lexington for free to see if you like it. Bluegrass Ceili Academy, in partnership with Lexington Parks and Recreation, is hosting four Introduction to Irish Dance workshops this summer at Artworks at the Carver School. All ages are welcome at each of our four workshops, beginning with dancers age 5 and up. You don't have to have dance experience, but those who do are welcome! With our Spring Recital in the books, we have wrapped up the first year since we've opened our doors as a Lexington Irish dance school and joined a thriving local community. And what a year it's been! We thought it might be fun to take a look back at some of our major milestones! Our 2016-2017 class year comes to a close on Monday, but we've already got big plans for the summer and for our next class year! This past weekend, our dancers took the stage at Kite Fest, sponsored by Lexington Parks and Recreation.
