Let your voice be heard! Lexington Parks and Recreation is asking you speak out on the future of parks, cultural arts, dance programs in Lexington as part of its Parks Master Plan process. The plan will address the future of parks, recreation, trails, cultural arts programs, events and open space in Lexington. They are your parks, and the plan is our future. Now is the time to make sure your voice is heard! A proud partner of Lexington, KY Parks & Recreation and its dance programs in Lexington, Bluegrass Ceili Academy will be on site at two of four public meetings next week to gather public comments on the Parks Master Plan. Join us July 22 as we #DanceforDanceClasses Community matters. That's why our Irish dance school in Lexington is joining forces to help students afford access to cultural arts classes. Giving back to our community is part of who we are at Bluegrass Ceili Academy. On Saturday, July 22, from 2 - 4 p.m., we're joining together with 2017 Kentucky Rose of Tralee Martha Mortell to raise scholarship funds for students at Artworks at the Carver School. Join us! Learn Irish dance in Lexington this summer!

Learn something new this summer! Here's your chance to learn Irish dance in Lexington for free to see if you like it. Bluegrass Ceili Academy, in partnership with Lexington Parks and Recreation, is hosting four Introduction to Irish Dance workshops this summer at Artworks at the Carver School. All ages are welcome at each of our four workshops, beginning with dancers age 5 and up. You don't have to have dance experience, but those who do are welcome! At each workshop you'll get to learn something new. Monday, June 19 – Introduction to Irish Ceili Dancing – On Monday, June 19, we’ll introduce ceili (pronounced kay-lee) dancing to you.
